It’s been forever but just to be clear, still live in Chicago, still working for parents, changed apartments to something much bigger and way more grown up but also older and therefore colder? Correlation? I hope not. Anyways, I can feel myself getting sicker and it makes me so mad. My throat is the battleground this time. I sound like a chain smoker right about now, and it probably won’t get better until it gets worse.
Tonight we are going to see Michael Showalter and Michael Ian Black which is exciting and really awesome, but I might need a tea or coffee to keep me there. And it’s at the Metro, which is way bizarre to me. For a comedy show? There better be chairs.
Anyways. I gotta shower or do some work but either way do NOT need be on here. You can count of my sporadic updates never and don’t expect to hear about much else.

you better believe it!
Good grief. Who’s got time to write a fucking blog? Not me. although I do have as much time as ever on my hands. I find myself drawn to other fascinating things like working out, writing scripts for concert ticket competitions, watching movies on tv and from netflix, sending way too many emails to my friends and father/boss and general making and eating too many desserts. It’s a rough life.
Things that are coming up:
Going to coloraqdo with my mom for business
Valentine’s day! Which means I get to go to a hockey game! Hoorah.
Going to Arizona also for business (that’s not until march)
Being cool… all the time.
Winter ending (this will never fucking happen!)
All in all I will say this. Things are good and fine. The only thing that really sucks right now is the weather. It’s so cold. All the time. I’m so pasty. But this weekend it’s supposed to be like 40 degrees and a little rainy. So maybe all this nasty dirty ice will be washed and melt.

and what a day!
Yay! Finally! Thank God! Hooray!
All these things can be said during today. American paused and watched as something kind of absolutely amazing happened. More emphasis, more meaning, more joy has been placed on today’s events than I’ve seen in a very long time. It’s not really about the one guy up there, but the whole nation believing in something bigger. What is this bigger thing that has overcome almost everybody? I have no idea. It’s a lot of things I guess.
Aretha Franklin’s hat is kind of awesome also. Her singing definitely brought some mist to my eyes.
Also the classical music superstars coming together, was amazing.
It was so easy. Just like that. Hail to Chief. Boop.
Good speech. Pretty convincing.
I like the old man prayer.
So I had to go work out before noon because they close at noon and then open at 3. So I didn’t want to wait that long. So I went but I waited too long and went during the inauguration. But I recorded it on CNN and NBC. Amazing. So there you go. History.
It's all great, good stuff.

over a tuesday
Hearing snoring even while I am awake and awake for good annoys the shit out of me.
I already went and worked out, felt good. I’ve decided I’m only going to work out in the morning. It’s the best time. you feel good for the rest of the day, it’s less busy there and the lady that works there during the morning is super nice.
Now I’m going to work on some slicks for SCA Walls. And I’ll be writing whenever things pop into my head over the course of the day.
Well I was sitting at our table and working on my laptop and stuff and of course trying to distract myself I looked to the bookshelf and how and behold a glorious set of my journals. Starting roughly freshman year of college. Which was like half full!!! It’s so funny reading things about meeting Sara and Emily and thinking about boys and stuff. And then another journal was completely full of travels, having each day and what we did. It’s great. And of course through out all of these spirals there are phone numbers to remember, passwords, doodles, testing pens and markers. It’s great. And I wrote an update in the one that contained freshman year. I just felt like I had to complete the story a little bit. Even though I realize now I didn’t mention that I did graduate and it was in fine and applied art’s art history and it was in 4 years. Well I’m announcing that to the world now so there you go. I worried a lot in those journals, more than I remember. But maybe because I didn’t worry to anybody else?
Now I have Matt, who gets the unfiltered me.
Man, I want some chocolate. Maybe just a granola bar? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm (yes I ate a granola bar)
Now it’s time to shower. Tommy James and the Shonells make a great “best of”. “Run, Run, Baby, Run” needs to be covered by Jens Lekmen.

seriously, japan?
I’ll be honest. I have not being keeping up my side of the bargain with this blog here. I mean you, valued reader, I know check every moment you can to see if I have any updates. But you come here and there’s nothing…. For a month. Pathetic really. But let’s not be coy here, I’m in love with you, dear reader, just you. Don't give up on me now.
So the month of December literally flew by. It was my birthday and then before I knew it, it was New Years. But before that was Christmas. I went down to Texas for it and had a great time. Besides seeing family and some extended family, the best parts were the following: fireworks, sunsets, a mini bike. Going down there was so nice. The weather was warmer and the food is always good. We had a plethora of tamales and smokehouse turkey. My dad’s theater room is ridiculous. And really I can’t describe it anymore than that…. You’d just have to see it.
But anyways. Came back to Chicago and it was new years eve! Which was both fun and irksome. And it happened in that sequence. Just fun drunk turned into shit show drunk, but I still think it was a lot of fun. But the next day my parents visited! Which was really nice. I hadn’t even seen our apartment yet. They thought it was cute. We also spent about 2 hours trying to get some Gino’s Pizza. But it was worth it. They also saw that we didn’t have any table and chairs so we went to Target and they bought us a little dinette set, which is much appreciated. Then while my mom and I put it together matt and my father both fell asleep. Geesh.
I have one book recommendation: My Custom Van by Michael Ian Black. If you read just the chapter titles and you don’t laugh then don’t talk to me.
Right now on the tv is Godzilla 2000, a Japanese film that is dubbed over and probably the greatest thing I’ve seen so far on tv. Not only does Godzilla have the same sound effect and look that it’s had through out the years, but the people of Japan STILL don’t know how to deal with Godzilla? I mean it took Americans only one try and Matthew Broderick took care of it. Japan get your shit together.
